Behind the Scenes of e-Design

You’ve looked at my portfolios. You’ve stalked my Facebook page and Pinterest boards. You’ve looked seen all my listings at my Etsy shop (well if you haven’t, you should!) and you’re ready to place an order. But what now? How is the e-Design process going to work?

When I receive notification that you’ve purchased e-Design services and submitted the Client Questionnaire, room dimensions, and photos, I will immediately read through all your answers to get a better idea of what you’re looking for and how I can help you. I’ll send you an email to let you know I received everything and ask for any other information I may need. As I begin working on your design, I will check in with you via email to make sure I’m on the right track and you’re loving what you’re seeing (I may email you a sample color palette before I begin selecting furniture and décor items, for example). I think it’s really important to keep my clients involved and informed, so you should expect to hear from me a few times through the e-Design process. When I have everything ready, I will email it to you. If there’s anything you don’t like, please let me know! I will make up to 3 revisions and then submit the final design. From this point, you can begin purchasing the items on your shopping list and implementing your design.

Here are a few other details:

Which retailers do I use when selecting furniture and décor items for your room?

Your budget and design preferences will determine which retailers I’ll use for your room, but they will be from the list below. I do my best to help you get the best deal without sacrificing quality. With home staging, if it’s more affordable for you to buy décor items than it is to rent them, I’ll suggest you buy them.

  • Amazon
  • Anthropologie
  • Curtainworks
  • Design Within Reach
  • IKEA
  • Pier One Imports
  • Pottery Barn
  • Restoration Hardware
  • Room and Board
  • Rugs USA
  • Target
  • TJ Maxx
  • Walmart
  • Wayfair
  • West Elm
  • Williams Sonoma
  • World Market

Which retailers do I use when selecting furniture rentals for home staging?

  • Aaron’s Rentals
  • CORT Rentals
  • Walmart and Target for most home staging purchases

Which paint do I use in your color palette?

I use Benjamin Moore paint colors. You can purchase Benjamin Moore paint online, or have the colors matched at a store of your choice.
